Developed as a private-sector alternative to an In-Lieu Fee Program, the Montana Statewide Umbrella Banking Agreement provides permittees a cost-effective, risk-free solution to addressing mitigation needs.

Compensation for Wetland Impacts: Eco-Asset Management assists permittees in assessing the mitigation credit requirements resulting from a Corps-approved project, then provides sufficient credits to fully compensate for the project’s impacts.

Compensation for Stream Impacts: As one of the only consulting groups to have entitled a stream mitigation bank in the six-state Omaha District of the Corps, Eco-Asset Management has unequaled depth of experience in dealing with stream impacts. Project impacts are assessed for the permittee, and compensatory credits are provided to offset project impacts.

Divestiture of Risk, Liability and Obligation: In every case, the Sponsor assumes full liability and responsibility for producing the mitigation credits specified in the Corps permit. This fully relieves the permittee of all long term obligations for project offsets – an extremely valuable aspect of this service in today’s risky markets.

Cost-effective Solution: Because credits are produced in volume, the economy of scale yields exceptional value to credit buyers – typically a 30% cost-savings over on-site, in-kind mitigation. And this is a cost-savings before taking into account the divestiture of liability, which has substantial value in itself.
