Among the most innovative projects ever attempted in the Northern Rockies, the 2,000-acre Nevada Spring Creek Ranch provided the setting for stream, wetland and water quality restoration encouraged by market incentives and public support. Located near, and tributary to, the famed Blackfoot River, the project has exhibited extraordinary success in its first two years post-implementation.

Stream/Riparian Assessment and Monitoring: Eco-Asset Management employed standardized and quantitative methods to assess and monitor the functions and values of a restored spring creek.

Wetland Assessment, Restoration and Monitoring: Eco-Asset Management provided baseline assessment of functions and values, developed a comprehensive restoration program, and implemented the restoration of 264 acres of wetlands (emergent, wet meadow, scrub-shrub) and riparian habitat. Project includes 5 years of comprehensive post-implementation monitoring.

Eco-Asset Valuation and Marketing: Eco-Asset Management provided a thorough evaluation, including financial modeling, of eco-asset values on the ranch and developed several asset categories with significant financial return through:

  • Stream Mitigation Bank
    (first ever in Montana)
  • Wetland Mitigation Bank
    (first ever in Montana)
  • Water Lease Assessment/Valuation
