Characterized as a "green development" along the upper Colorado River, Orvis Shorefox is a multi-dimensional resource management project focused on establishment of a high quality lifestyle community in the heart of the Colorado Rockies.

Program Administration: Eco-Asset Management's role as overall program administrator included oversight of stream and river restoration design, resource management within the 18-hole championship golf course, facilitation of land-owner relations, and coordination of natural resource issues among the various design, planning and construction partners on the project.

Wetland Assessment and Management: A major feature of the 1,550-acre site is its extensive wetland system, including riverside/riparian, wet meadow and high quality "fen" wetlands, a sensitive and highly valued habitat type in Colorado. Eco-Asset Management provided functional assessment and management planning for on-site wetlands that would restore, enhance and preserve the quality of these unique areas.

Wildlife Management: Eco-Asset Management provided oversight and review of the wildlife management plan, as well as detailed analysis of the implementation strategy for managing various wildlife on-site including a large elk herd, sage grouse, bald eagles nesting along the river.

Wetland Mitigation Bank Feasibility Analysis: A thorough analysis was conducted of potential weland banking opportunities including service area, market demand and supply, and cost-benefit (investment v. return) modeling.
